Racial Equity Learning Arc

The Racial Equity Learning Arc, a cohort-based series of workshops created and facilitated by The Equity Paradigm, is open to Duke staff and faculty who have completed the Racial Equity Institute’s Phase I workshop (or a near equivalent). This six-session series is intended to connect people within a community to build on foundational knowledge to further develop critical consciousness around issues of race.

Duke staff and faculty who have completed the Racial Equity Institute’s Phase I workshop (or a near equivalent) are invited to participate in a cohort-based series of racial equity workshops led by The Equity Paradigm. This series is intended to connect people within a community to build on foundational knowledge to further develop critical consciousness around issues of race. The Racial Equity Learning Arc consists of six sessions; participants MUST be able to commit to attending at least 5 of the 6 sessions. We encourage you to speak with your supervisor prior to applying to ensure that you can meet this commitment.

The application for the Fall 2021 cohort is now open. Please complete the brief online application by August 20. All sessions will be held virtually on Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. (September 9, September 23, October 7, October 21, November 4, November 18). Participants must commit to attending at least 5 of the 6 dates. Accepted applicants will receive confirmation by August 31.
