Alum Zoom: Five Career Questions with Ana Sanchez PhD, Associate Dean for Scientific Administration and Finance for the Duke School of Medicine

Speaker

Ana Sanchez, PhD

As part of a series of short, focused career conversations with former Duke postdocs and PhD students, we'll feature Ana Sanchez (PhD, Duke Immunology), Associate Dean for Scientific Administration and Finance for the Duke School of Medicine. Previously, she was Vice President for Research & Development and Vice President for Research & Development Project Management at Locus Biosciences. Before that, she was Director of Program Management for the Duke Human Vaccine Institute. In these positions, she's drawn on technical skills learned during her PhD training, program management skills learned throughout her career, and a desire to learn new areas of research administration and drug development. Ana will tell us how she transitioned from academia to industry and back again, and provide tips for postdocs and PhD students who are interested in careers in scientific project management.
