2025 Engaged Scholar Writing Retreat

Gather with other community-engaged scholars across North Carolina to set aside time for writing, in community. The Engaged Scholar Writing Retreat includes directed writing time, optional individual consultation sessions, and short workshops on writing strategies to help you create and sustain momentum. Facilitated by Dr. Jennifer Ahern-Dodson, NCCE Engaged Scholar 2018-19. Sponsored by NC Campus Engagement and Faculty Write. Co-sponsored by Duke Service-Learning. Previous retreats have included faculty members working on community-based research projects, faculty teams working on an article or book, doctoral students working on their dissertation, graduate students working on their thesis, practitioners working on articles, and administrators working on strategic plans and reports.
