Sounds of Justice and Inclusion: Martin Luther King Jr. Day Concert at Duke University

The Office for Institutional Equity, in collaboration with the Duke University MLK Planning Committee, Duke University Chapel and the Office of the Vice Provost for the Arts, produced a 2-hour concert, Sounds of Justice and Inclusion. The January 17, 2015 concert honored the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. and the 100th birthday of Dr. John Hope Franklin. It featured Durham Symphony, John Brown "Little" Big Band, 100 Men In Black Choir, and Yolanda Rabun. A sell-out crowd of over 600 Duke and Durham community members enjoyed an evening concert that blended jazz, classical and gospel music … a true diversity of art forms. OIE is hoping to make this an annual MLK Commemorative Concert. This clip features highlights of the concert.
