This event highlights sustainable organic practices in oolong tea farming and celebrates Taiwan's tea heritage. Through tea tastings and the guest lecture, participants will discover how cultivation methods shape flavor and tradition. The program encourages responsible appreciation and global support for sustainable tea production. Guests: Tyler Pruitt, a technologist and long-time tea enthusiast with family roots in Taiwanese tea farming, co-founded the World Tea Association in 2020 and now serves as its Executive Director, focusing on Taiwanese tea culture while also serving on multiple nonprofit boards and mentoring students. Louie Ballard, a PhD student in biochemistry at Duke University, co-founded the Wake Forest World Tea Association in 2020, helping it grow into the largest student organization on campus, and now serves on the national nonprofit board supporting collegiate tea organizations.
