Employee Resource Group Information Session

Duke staff and faculty can learn about existing Employee Resource Groups (ERG) or how to start a new one during an online information fair at noon on Oct. 16. The session will include three 10-minute breakout discussions, giving participants a chance to visit several groups they may want to learn more about. The participating ERGs include: - Anti-Racism ERG - ¡DALHE! (Duke Advancing Latine-Hispanic Excellence) - Jewish ERG - Muslim ERG - Remote Work ERG - SEPC (Special Event Planners Council) During each of the breakout sessions, representatives from Duke Human Resources will also share information about how to create an ERG for those seeking to form a new group based on common bonds. "We launched several new ERGs in the past year, and they have grown and proven to be great sources for connection and support among members," said Paul Grantham, Assistant Vice President for Work Culture and Communication Services. "It's also been rewarding to see the growth and development of emerging leaders within each of these groups." Duke University Health System also offers 10 affinity groups, ranging from Duke Moms and Alliance LGBTQ+ to Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) and the Duke Military Association. A separate information session is being developed to allow employees to learn more about those groups.
