Adventures in evolving toxicology testing: Omics, HTS, AI and whatever comes next

Speaker
Scott Auerbach, PhD, NIEHS
Why is the transition to predictive toxicology so resistant to implementation? Despite the integration of computational modeling, AI, and omics, these methodologies almost inevitably end up as add ons to, rather than replacements for, in vivo standards. This talk will examine the structural definition of "replacement" and outlines the necessary criteria to shift reliance from observational apical endpoints to robust, mechanism-based safety assessments.
This seminar will be held in person in Grainger Hall room 1112 and online via Panopto.
